I'll echo the posters before me; I think this falls in the 3 or 3.5 range however it's not inconceivable that on the right day it gets a 4.

Centering gave it the bump, I believe. It is a solid 4, but nicer eye appeal today would make this card a candidate for the half grade bump to 4.5.

That Rose is a 3 at best. I don't care who sent that in, that card was not graded no where close to what it really is. Way over-graded.

Thats PSA.... and 3rd party massproduced grading in general for you.

The first PSA-5 card was graded in the 1990s and is a true EX (oldschool grading standards, thats should still be in place).

The second PSA-5 card was graded 10 years later and is EX+/NRMT (undergraded EX).

This is EX-actly why you should always "buy the card not the slab".

My agenda is to buy a nice pete rose rookie...when i stumbled across it. It was one i passed up. What do you work for PSA? I have more psa graded than any other graded in my collection, and I trust them the most. What the hell are you crying about, secret agenda??

I don't think they are the same card. Check out the print dot, very top left corner, and the various surface marks that don't match up.

those 2 arent the same card....someone was just surprised those both recieved the same grade.

Geeze VG or EX does it really matter? The market is what matters.

one isnt a low end 5, its not even a 5 (by PSA standards)

It is now, if it is in a 5 holder and it shouldn't even be there (according to us via a scan) then
it is simply a low end for the grade 5. When I first saw the card i thought to myself that it could grade between 3 and 5, i chose to
say 3.

Yours is a 5 and mine is a 6. I just knew this card was a 7.
