Were there no baseball cards in 1947?

I was thinking about starting a collection of 1947 cards to honor the year my dad was born. However, I didn't see ANY from that year listed in Beckett. Was there not any made then? Or was that during war time and no baseball going on?
Atlanta Braves, Charlotte Hornets, Shawn Kemp, Dale Murphy, and Bobby Engram.

Did I leave anything out?
You may want to use Bob Lemke's Baseball Card Catalog instead of Beckett to get a complete list of sets issued by year and manufacturer.
The war ended in August 1945, MLB played right thru the war years unlike some stoppage during WW1.
Steve
1947 D323 Tip Top Bread.
Longtime collectors put this set right up there with other big sets (T206, R319, E121, etc.) because there are many WWII Era players not found on any other card besides the D323.
There are 163 cards in the complete set.
It is a challenging set with many ranges of scarcity because the set actually consists of many regional groups. ie St. Louis Browns and St. Louis Cardinals players were only issued in the St. Louis area. NY players only issued in the New York area, etc.
PS there are many other sets from 1947 too.......
D302 Bond Bread
D305/W571 Homogenized Bond Bread
D315-2 Sunbeam Bread
D317-2 Remar Bread
UO11 Signal Gas
W602 Sports Exchange Minis
etc.
These are from the 07 Standard Catalog of Baseball - Krause.
