My first purchase from Jean Elsen.

Thank you, Brett (BS), for thinking of me when you saw this piece. I agree that it would fit in my collection nicely. Haven't dealt with them before, but they made the transaction pretty smooth. The woman that I corresponded with via e-mail was very professional. Images courtesy of the seller:

Very nice. I especially like the look of the reverse.

    Well, it's in!

The toning is pretty thin and only comes-out when you tilt it toward the light. The colour on the reverse is a bit more subtle than the original picture. I think it was dipped a few years back and now re-toning. I don't think I was able to do anything with my imaging skills that Jean ELSEN folks didn't already image I definitely dig the nice, clean surfaces on the reverse.

In any case - it's a great coin that will be on my next submission to PCGS. Last time I had a coin submitted that had a similar type of toning, it was BB'ed for cleaning, though. Fingers crossed.

I do not see a BB for this one...

Actually, you're absolutely right, Coinkat. After my last submission to PCGS, I think i'm getting a bit paranoid image All I need is a boost of confidence from NGC, which should be any day now.

Thanks, John. A couple of coins in the submission seem to be real stumpers and I was told had to be shown to an expert. So, hopefully, early next week I can reveal what it is.

I still like the coin and think it will do fine... best wishes with the submission, however, it is a terrific coin that speaks volumes for quality

Thank you, Coinkat! I am very pleased with my transaction with Jean ELSEN and will definitely jump on another opportunity to buy from them. Their images were spot-on, too.
