Do the Celtics have what it takes to go all the way?

They totally destroyed the Hawks today, but even though they won the series, in my opinion, they should be
embarrased by the 3 road losses, especially in games 3 and 4 in which the Hawks dominated them.
How will the handle the Cavs?

<< <i>the Celtics have the best defense in the NBA when they want to. Can they beat New Orleans though, I don't know. >>
I'd have to argue that Detroit, by far, has the best defense "when they want to". Problem is, almost the entire team seems to have to get motivated by something other than a championship to win. If the media or a player from the other team steps up and says Detroit has no chance, they almost always come out and play lights out. But if the media says there's no way Detroit can lose, they already believed that and seem to come out and expect the other team to lay down. Hopefully if they both reach the conference finals, Detroit and Boston playing eachother will be motivation enough to make them both "want to" be the best teams they can be. It would make for a great series if they did.

The Pats could have used a polarizing, galvanizing loss or two to give them a taste of failure before the big show like the Celts tasted after the game 6 loss. They will look back on the game 6 loss as the day they became champions because they hated that taste of failure.

I'm sure they were embarassed about having to go 7 games against a clearly inferior team like the Hawks.
LeBron and the Cavs. have got to have a lot of confidence going up against them.

I think they got lucky tonight though, what are the odds of Lebron, going 2 for 18, with 10 turn overs? Cavs could have easily won and split the first two at home.
Celts in 6 or 7.
