Question about SGC holders

I've only owned a few SGC slabbed cards to date, but each one of those few had an annoying amount of dust and scratches on the dark-colored interor... I'm wondering if that's fairly standard or if I've just had some bad luck with those.

Any help appreciated.

Edited to add that the reason I ask is because I'm trying to decide whether or not to bid on an auction for an SGC-slabbed card that ends tonight... It's a relatively low-dollar card, and if I have to mess with having it re-holdered, it may not be worth bidding.

I have many SGC slabbed cards and I haven't noticed the same problem. I have yet to crack one open to see how much space there is between the interior locater (and card) and outer slab. The SGC slabs tend to show the surface wear much easier than PSA slabs (due to the black inner locator).

Show a scan, and I'll see if it looks like an abnormality

I just checked through about 150 SGC slabs..no issues. Sometimes debris will show up on scans...but never in the case itself...hmmm???

Surface imperfections in the mold used to make the slabs can get dirty/scratched, which will show in the slab. I have no clue as to what the inner locator is made of, but it appears to be a die-cut plastic sheet. I suppose before the slab is sealed if the surface of the inner locator was not cleaned (probably by a blast of air) dust/debris could be inside the sealed slab. Just a guess.

OK. Thanks, all. I guess I've just had a bit of bad luck with the few I've picked up. I've already cracked the few SGCs I've owned and submitted them to PSA, so I can't really illustrate the dust problem I've had, but here's a remnant of one of them with a pretty substantial flaw of some kind on the lower left... Anyway, I'll go ahead and give 'em another shot. If I win the auction, I'll post here with a scan when the card arrives.
