Would A 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle PSA 10 Top $1 Million?

If a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle PSA 10 were ever to hit the market, do you think it would top $1,000,000.00?

Other than the T206 Wagner PSA 8, are there any other cards out there, in existence, that would top $1,000,000.00?

  • I think a Mantle PSA 10 will hit $1,000,000.00 within the next ten years.

Other than a George Mikan 1950 Menko, I think the next million dollar card will be........ I really don't know, can't think of any.

I think if one of the three PSA 10's went to auction now it would top a million.

it would be interesting to see one in auction. since the last psa 9 sold for @ $280,000 then 1 million for a psa 10 could happen.

Would anybody believe it's a 10, or would there be rumors of trimming, overgrading, and questionable provenance?

Well, first off, there's only 3 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle PSA 10. Second, I'm fairly certain that each one of them has a good and well-documented "track record," e.g. just everybody knows the one pictured below belongs to Marshall Fogel.

P.S. Wow ... ONE MILLION DOLLARS!

Interesting thing about the Mantle in my mind...

I remember around 1992 Beckett had an article about some guy from NYC - I want to say he had something to do with music - that bought a 10 for 125K and I thought that was incredible - how high can a card like that go?

    A million?

As long as there's people with loads of money, anything's possible.

    Sure - why not?

I would think that at this point, if a T206 Honus Wagner were graded at a PSA 6/SGC 80 level, it would hit $1M also. Who knows, in the not-too-distant future, the PSA 5 already out there may do it.

Are those his ears or is that a print defect on the card?
