You go Dennis go!! I raised my price on a PCGS-MS68 silver pre-1965 quarter to $6000 and you now come in at $6500 for the Ike. You've raised the bar another notch!! image Wondercoin

  • You go Dennis!! I upped my offer for the 1st MS69 seated dime. You heard it here, $50,000.00 to the 1st person who brings me a MS69 seated dime. image

I never saw the PCGS MS-69 1845-O dime, is that the one you want? Would an NGC69 coin work or is this offer strictly for PCGS? Judging from some of the MS68 seated dimes I've seen in holders, I'd be scared to pay $50,000 sight unseen for a 69. Two of the 68's I saw had enough tics that I felt they would have been lucky to make 67.

  • I have heard all the comments about Modern Coins, their high production numbers, availability, and lack of rarity. I have been making offers for $5000-$6500 for these modern coins and no one has beat a path to my door with a truck load of these easy to find and easy to make, non-rarity coins that I am offering foolish amounts of money for.

  • Mitch,
Whoops. Thanks for pointing that out. I guess I got a little carried away and hit the zero too many times. I have edited the post to correct that dumb mistake. As you noted, the prices should be $5,000 to $6,500. At $65,000 I would be selling every MS67 Ike I had.

This simply proves my point that every collector is a dealer at a certain price point image Wondercoin.

  • RR,
RE: the 45-O PCGS 69. I asked around about it at the FUN show. All i got were laughs. Everybody said that the finest known (for PCGS) is a MS62. Im not a buyer of the high grade common stuff (not saying a MS 45-O is common)

Also the "lower grade" MS66 (and some MS65) pricing is also go up in large percentages! I got sniped on a type I 1976-D Ike off of Teletrade and my bid was $100.00 over the last winning bid of one sold on Teletrade.
    Go figure.
