Help on possible PVC damage

I have aquired a 1976 French Fleur de Coins set that is sealed in it's flexable plastic. A couple of the coins have a spot on them and I am concerned that this is evidence of PVC damage. Does anyone know if these French mint plastic holders are PVC free or should I take the coins out and put them in another type of holder???

I do not know for certain, but I believe that the holders are PVC plastic

This is information gleaned over several years of personal experience and reading posts here and elsewhere:

1960's FDC sets: 1964-65 were probably PVC. Less danger of that in the 70's FDC sets.
I had a '64 set in what was soft plastic and the coins were clean as a whistle.

I have noticed spotting on several FDC sets from the mid-1970's in my possession
but was not sure it was PVC damage.

All eBay buyers seemed to like the spotted sets I sold them (sharp and large images provided) and got good feedback,
so I don't know if it's really a problem... may simply be common to the sets.

However, there is no mistaking the
    florid,
    virulent,
    stomach-turning green
    of PVC damage.

I believe LordM may have something to say concerning PVC and French FDC sets.
