Old Tiger Stadium in Detroit to come down soon

A demolition contract has been awarded and the old stadium will come down probably sometime this summer.

The company doing the work is doing it for free with the provision it can sell all of the scrap for recycling estimated to be worth around
$1 million or so.

  • That really sucks. Tiger Stadium was a great old classic ballpark. I loved those upper decks.

Tiger Stadium was a classic, you were very closer to the field of play, that is not the case with Comerica Park which
was poorly designed as a viewing experience for the fan.
