What will be the grading special for May?

As I hurry to the post office tomorrow to get this months special in I wonder what the special will be in May.

I hope its something in the vintage department! Since they just got done with a 1972-present special how about a 1950-1971 special. I have a bunch of 60's and early 70's stuff that could head to California if the right special pops up!

Looks like the same special that's running now except the cutoff isn't 2002, it's 2008.

Are you kidding me! $14 for 5 day service which is approximate..... no way.... my last five orders like this have averaged 10 days each... Not worth the extra $ in my book! I was hoping for something vintage in nature.. I have 100 nice cards/coins from the 60's and early 70's that will have to sit on the shelf and wait another couple of months! Boo

I would have rather seen a vintage special that included 1960 cards. But I also have a bunch of manufacturer autos from 2003 I was going to send in on my membership voucher. I guess I be submitting 1960s on my voucher and getting all my autographs submitted on the special.
The big stack of 60s will have to wait til July.
Glad I waited, though... they want like $25 or $35 dollars to grade autograph cards according to the fee guides

I suspect that Joe uses the current month's special to balance the loading among specialists. If the vintage specialists are loaded down, why run a vintage special to put them further behind? I suspect that the newer material is light at the moment and no one wants to be buried at year end and for their awards, this is year end where you need to expect more faster turn orders for those last cards to compete. I suspect simply a business decision. But if you have a pile of cards from the 60's, just wait there will be a special soon. But a hundred will go at $6 under bulk which might not be to bad.
