The new sacagawea Dollar variety sets have been started. The Cheerios Sac is there along with the Wounded Eagle. I am very happy with the results.
My set was #1 for a minute!
Awesome job, Ms. Searls!!!

It caters to the many collectors who cannot afford or otherwise don't have a Cheerios Sac.
I would have liked to have the Cheerios coin in the major set as it would have tempted me to start a new set of Sacs again but its no big deal and it helps the many others who don't have one.
By the way, when will you be listing your set on there?? It should be pretty close to the top if I remember correctly.
I definitely wish I still had some of my coins as my set would have ranked number one. Oh well.
the PCGS pops are 1- 66: 7 -1=6 67: 5-68. The cheapest would be the 66 but as you know I sold that coin last year and the collector know probably would not sell. The 67s have one coin counted twice so there are a total of 12. Good luck though. Maybe a 67 or 68 will find its way to you.

It is a neat type though. I recently sold my last one via ebay, for only $40! Imagine if it were from PCGS, it would probably be worth at least a few thousand the last one was a finest known.
Griv, I would suggest that you have an error specialist such as Mr. Weinberg or Mr. Byers take a look at your coin. It can be very tough to identify an experimental rinse.
The one thing I have found that helps me with the experimental rinse is if they have a VERY deep chocolate brown color and are somewhat glossy. I can't say that all have these characteristics but most that I have seen do.
<< <i>Silverstate, the "flaming eagle" is a much less common variety and has yet to be recognized by the CherryPickers Guide or PCGS.

How come I am always the last to know.
Seriously, Wondercoin, who is your contact? I can never seem to get a prompt response from PCGS on anything, and was told only last week, that there was only one request for the Cheerios Sac to be added.
Now, all of a sudden, you say they are adding it??? It seems that there should be a poll like there was for the SF coins. THIS IS JUST NOT RIGHT! One collector should not be able to request that a coin be entered and get it entered for **** reasons.
This is just my opinion but I hope PCGS will listen and take a look at there actions.
mintmark, and major variety currently recognized by
PCGS. Major varieties are defined as coins that are
easily recognized as having major differences from
other coins of the same design, type, date, and
mint. Generally, major varieties are significant
and can be easily seen with the naked eye. And where
there are various "states" to a variety, the major
variety is the state which is considered the
strongest by the collecting community. For example,
there are three states, or types, for the 1936
Double Die Obverse Lincoln cent. Only the Type 1,
the strongest and most apparent of the three states,
is considered a major variety and is included in the
PCGS Major Variety Set for Lincoln cents."
PCGS' definition of what coins should be in the Major Variety set.
My real question is, HOW COME PCGS DIDN'T SEND A POLL? ONE COLLECTOR SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO DECIDE IF THE SET HAS A NEW COIN ADDED. JMO.
<< <i>Great news !!! Maybe time to get a few of ours graded >>
You could share 1 or 2.

Better get ready to write a big check, would you be interested in a raw coin - might be able to save you a few bucks
We opened A LOT of cheerios boxes !!!!
Hany - Perhaps you forgot what you wrote a couple weeks back? Wondercoin
Good luck to all of you without one. I am going to get my top rank, sit back and watch.
Honestly, all of this registry stuff is really getting to me. I guess I should go back to my darkside coins. Thats where life is good. There is no problem with registry sets and ranks because if you register you are almost automatically in the top 3-5 spaces.
And, happy ending for the Cheerios dollar as well - a self-evident MAJOR variety, of immense magnitude at that. Great job in PCGS adjusting as well.

P.S. I have a customer looking for an MS67 PQ coin or an MS68 - send a PM if you know where I can find one or have one for sale.
