That is one of my favorite cards because of the intensity of Clemente's gaze.....gorgeous example you've got Oaksey!

May be just be the scan, but me thinks the left and right side of the card have been trimmed. More visible on the back scan. Something just doesn't look right.

According to the scan, looks like a "hair cut" to me. Not Holdered. Evidence of Trimming. chaz

Hard to tell when the scan is crooked.

man I hope you are wrong.. it measures perfect.. I know that don't always mean not trimmed but...
I guess you always have to worry.. when you have a card this old in this condition...
either way.. it measures up... and I like it..

Do like the backs on the 61s, the stats are easy to read.

I was checking out the sides as well in regards to trimming, but after looking at it carefully I don't believe it is trimmed. Assuming it's not, and assuming the slight snow is on the scanner & not the card, I really think you may be looking at a 10. The centering isn't exactly 50/50 but we have all seen worse in 10 holders. I 'm pulling for you. It's a 9 at the very least. Awesome card.

Are those scratches on his shoulder and neck on the card or scanner?

If the surface is clean, and it's not trimmed, a solid 8 at least. Very nice.

Surface and gloss look like the card was just printed

Hmmm, I see the wave on the side of the card, I only notice it when looking at the back of the card for some reason though .

    Nice card though .

Beautiful card. Congrats on a great Clemente pick up. I think the centering and slight print specks will keep it from a 9. Looks like a very solid 8 though and imo not trimmed.

I think the centering makes it an 8 rather than an 8.5 but in that range. Good luck. It's a very nice looking card.

A solid 8, nice pick up.

    8

centering and what looks like some edge wear on the lower right edge will keep it from going any higher.

No way that card is not a PSA-9 if it is not trimmed. Best I have ever seen!image

They are very strict on 61's with regards to print. That card will get a straight 8. Plus very few raw cards are getting the .5. Nice card though.

Centering held it back from grading any higher. Another very sharp Clemente. Congrats.
