<< <i>Sam , in order to p.m you -you gotta be able to receive a p.m ! >>
Didn't know it was turned off. Still pretty new to posting here although I've been a member for quite some time, I mainly just lurk around.
For Mr. Wolforth... we've actualy done business together before on ebay, been a while but I recognize you and you are on my favorite sellers list. As of now, that coin is an extra, I just added a 67 nickel in 66 dcam to my registry so this one became available.
Anyhow, what do I need for it? PCGS price guide says 100, I usually limit why I pay to 75 percent of what pcgs says.. so if someone can come close to that number I would be cool with that... or if you have something you'd like me to consider as a trade, I'd do that too. I'd like to help someone up their registry that's mainly the reason I posted it here.
Kinda strange, not sure if you guys are firmiliar with the Collectors Society registry, but they give a lot more value for Ucam/Dcam coins than they do Cam. PCGS regards the 66 Dcam and the 67 Cam as the same point value although they recognize the fact that the dcam coin is worth more than 3x the 67 cam coin. Doesn't that seem a bit screwy?
Hopefully I'll be posting more around here and quit lurking so much. As for me, I'm pretty much an SMS hound although I dabble a bit in Peace / Morgan / Walkers (short short set!). And thanks for the welcome guys, glad to be here.
BTW, I am Coindude from ebay, was going to use that same title here, but by the time I got here someone had already taken it... FAKER!!
It looks pretty accurate, no haze, but the softness of mirror which is normal for SMS coins, yes, PCGS graded. Obverse is nicer than the reverse. I can attempt to take different pictures, prolly tomorrow. I'll post tomorrow, or maybe later tonight if my Spurs take care o bidness!

Hey, that's cool!
BTW call me Carl.
The only time I can keep eBay names, forum names and real names straight is if they are all the same! I make my eBay and forum name the same as my own name just so I don't confuse myself.
I had a hard time figuring out the NGC registry. Then I gave up. One can only guess what an upgrade will do for a registry set. It seems to be the more a coin costs the more the points. They value NGC and PCGS coins equally. However it is sometimes hard to purchase coins of the same grade, different service for the same price.
In the '65 to present basic Proof Jeff PCGS Registry set the '67 Jeff has a 3 point bonus in DCAM with a 1 point bonus in Cam. So things are changing all around.
Here are some new pics, got bored at halftime. Anyow, I think the coin is nicer in hand, the mirrors aren't quite as shallow as the picture shows. Oh and if you don't like the coin, return it. I'm not trying to force junk on anyone here. It's a nice coin, but like I said I have a dcam in my registry now. My 1967 PCGS registry set. I seriously doubt that coin would Dcam in todays standards, but I'll keep it till I upgrade. Also, you said there were 3 bonus points for dcam and 1 in cam.. my score didn't change at all when I put the dcam coin into my registry, so I'm not sure how that all works out. All I know is I put this one into my CS registry as well as my PCGS since I had a 67 nickel in ucam over there and now I can have one coin fill both spots. The ucam coin was nicer than both these coins.
There seem to be different weights depending on registry set. For the '67 year set there is a 1 point bonus for Cam and 2 for DCAM except for the Cent which gets a 3 point bonus for DCAM. It is easy to figure out by clicking "set composition" and also there is the "what if" calculator which lets you know in advance what effect a new coin will have on your set. I haven't played around with the other registry sets in a while so I don't know what is new over there.
Naw. The weight is 1. So no denomination is weighed more than another. All denominations get a 1 point bonus for Cam. So a 66 Cam has the same points as a 67 with no designation. DCAM gets a bigger bonus, 2 for all but the cent which gets 3. If you look at different years you will see that particular denominations have different weights than others.

I normally don't reply to B/S/T thread from people I don't know who also don't post a price.
Anyway welcome! These forums can always use another Jefferson Nickel collector.

Can I presume this is a PCGS graded coin?
Also, how close is the image to the coin in hand?
Looks like it has some haze around the periphery.

Anyway Welcome again!
1967 set:
Issue Weight CA Bonus DC Bonus
1967 1C SMS 1 2 3
1967 5C SMS 1 1 2
1967 10C SMS 1 1 2
1967 25C SMS 1 1 2
1967 50C SMS 1 1 2
Still kinda a ripoff, the dcams are so much more rare. Would someone please contact PCGS with my complaint!
A 1967 coin, other than the cent, carries no more weight in the registry than a non-CAM.

Wow, I think you're right, that does kinda blow, cams are much more rare than non cams.
