Live PSA break coming tonight 4/24

Well it seems though I really am master of my domain! I have resisted urges to view my submission results and just picked up 3 boxes from the PO that were shipped from PSA! Unfortunately I am stuck at work all day while these sit at home but I plan to do a live break of the larger sub which is all vintage and just show a few highlights (if there are any) from the other. The 3rd box is just a reholder order so nothing too exciting there.

I am normally a 3 sub a year guy but happened to send in 3 orders earlier this year and got two of them back in the same day and the strange part is I am still waiting on the oldest of the 3 to pop. The two I received were;

Bulk Service level approx 130 cards received 3/25 and sent 4/16
Set Registry Special of approx 50 cards received 4/15 and sent 4/18 !!!

Those are the two boxes I received today along with the reholder order

Strangely I had another Bulk Service order received 2/20 and that hasn't popped yet??

So, the 130 card order will be opened live on the forums for any that care to peek in once in awhile as it will be a slow "rip" as I'll try to add some scans along the way, etc.. I don't want to "oversell" this as I don't expect anything super great and there will be alot of 7's and 8's (if I'm lucky) along with a share of 6's and 5's as well but it's always fun to actually get the box back especially not knowing the results inside. I also set up the sub with the intention of having a fun rip so I mixed up all sports, years, brands, etc. so I wouldn't know what to expect next. There are some cracks and resubs in there too so I'll be curious to see if any bumps were achieved. There's all 4 sports along with some Boxing, Golf, Tennis, Tobacco...and just a wide mix of everything so I'm looking forward to seeing some of these slabbed. Alot of these were raw Ebay purchases and I also wrote down the sellers advertised grade so I'll see how far off these were which will be interesting to me as well. I'm sure at least a grade lower on average but probably more on others but I'll try to throw those details in the break as well. Can you tell I'm excited? I haven't had a PSA shipment since September so I'm due!

    Box is open! I've got a nice frosty beverage with more back ups in the fridge nearby. It's rainy and cold outside so I'm all set to stay inside tonight and do this nice and slow. Had a chance to rummage through the smaller sub and came up with a few highlights but quite a few were at least a grade below what I was expecting so I'm a bit hesitant to rip open this next sub. OK...hesitancy passed...on with the rip. This could take into tomorrow depending on how many scans I feel like adding so just peek in later if you have any interest.

    First a few from the other boxes.....

    I'll start with the reholdering...

    Sorry the pics are fuzzy, I can never seem to get a good scan on a graded card.

    Now a few highlights from my set registry special;

    I was hoping one of these 78's would squeeze out a 10 but no go. Still nice cards...

    And now the box... not sure what box to start with but since the sub was all mixed for sports and years I guess it doesn't matter....

    They look like water stains. May have lucked out on the grades for those?

    Yeah, it's a stain on the cards so I'm a bit surprised they didn't grade lower. It's on all of them (I bought a lot of 12) but lighter on some than others.

    I agree - extremely underrated set. I have the #2 SGC Registry - will be #1 as soon as I get the dough for a submission. I have the only Schmeling in a 9 (SGC 96) in existence. I highly recommend people put this set together. Extremely easy to find for a 70 year old set. I love this live break. Needs to happen more often - but who wants to wait?!?!?

    Are any of those 57 Football available?

    Well that's it from this sub. Really all over the place and I'm happy with some especially the European tobacco cards but alot of others were a grade below what I was hoping (and 2 plus grades below the advertised raw card condition - although that I expected). Still fun to break and I'm looking forward to my older big sub that I plan to break in the same way. Thanks for peeking in!

    I know...I actually bought a lot of 12 on the Bay awhile back and they arrived in a plain white envelope - get this -- wrapped very tightly in a rubber band! Not many survived so I just picked the 3 best to see what they would grade.
