So you are stuck in an elevator for 8 hours.. You get to pick any person to spend those 8 hours with chatting....

Probably go with Ty Cobb- I am sure he would have plenty of stories to tell... Opinions to share.. etc

I think that no matter who it was, things would become awkward very quickly. 8 hrs. is a long time unless you have a deck of cards or something. I think I'd rather be stuck in there with that cutie tennis player who isn't all that good but is hot so she gets a bunch of press and dates hockey players.....or just a laptop.

I'd love to spend the day with Ted Williams, so he could help me with my swing...I'd also convince him NOT to freeze his head after his death....

You had best hope Ty would take a liking to you... I believe he was well known for his nasty disposition.

Cobb's .366 lifetime batting average remains the highest career average ever. Yet, for all that, his reputation as a great hitter may be overshadowed by his reputation as a fierce competitor and the meanest man ever to play the game. He was vitriolic to his opponents - he would ceremoniously and prominently sharpen his spikes, in full view of suddenly nervous opposing infielders, before he hit. Like Cap Anson before him, Cobb was a cruel bench jockey and unabashed racist.

I imagine Rose would be far more personable, especially if you caught him in his environment... Vegas!
