endless paypal claim over $40

I bought a 1972 sunoco book and some packs of stickers. The book was trashed, missing pages, torn, stained, water damage. 3 packs short, some were sealed and some were opened. Not quite as described but that happens sometimes.

Emailed the seller, he told me to f off. I started getting foul rude threatening emails immediately.

Filed a claim, here's my claim details. Over a $40 sale. Just amazing that somebody has this much time and paypal lets it go on. If I counted right they have ruled against him 7 times, and he has appealed 7 times.

    amazing.

BUT, when you fully understand the "quality" of the people buying/selling
on EBAY, it is not THAT "amazing."

It's still amazing that PayPal lets you appeal more than once.

WTF is paypal doing here, how is this lean or saving them money letting this linger?

  • Have you called Paypal and asked them why he keeps getting to appeal. I thought you were only allowed one appeal and none on a SNAD claim.

Let me get this straight.... this guy now has his item back, and you have your refund.

The seller's attempting to collect the money as well? Sounds like the seller's trying to be a thief.

During the dispute, what did the seller write in defense of himself?

I didn't even know paypal allowed sellers to appeal after a case is closed. As fas as I know buyers are not allowed to appeal after a case is closed.

I think the bidder got his money when he won the case, the seller has been trying to reverse it.

I was the bidder and got my refund after sending the stuff back to him with delivery confirmation. Paypal hasn't sent me anything at all about the case in more than a month.

I just never knew they had appeals, let alone endless appeals.

This is the only response I've been able to see thru paypal -

DeFORMation of character? Seems like he's defaming the English language.

I'd love to know how much it cost to retain his "attorney" over a $40.00 dispute (my tongue is planted firmly in my cheek as I know there's no way that statement is valid). Perhaps this "attorney" took the case on contingency... image

This is too friggin' funny. Please PM me the eBayer's ID so that I can avoid such a classy seller.
