Joseph Donald Walsh Jr. ("Donnie Walsh"):
1. Played college basketball at the University of North Carolina for legendary coach Frank McGuire;
2. Was selected by the Philadelphia Warriors in the NBA draft;
3. Earned his bachelor's degree and a law degree at UNC;
4. Served as an assistant coach for several college teams, including twelve seasons at the University of South Carolina, working with McGuire;
5. Was hired as an assistant with the Denver Nuggets by Larry Brown;
6. Became the head coach of the Nuggets in 1979;
7. In 1984, he became an assistant with the Indiana Pacers;
8. Took a position as general manager with the Pacers;
9. Was promoted to the position of CEO and president of the Pacers; and
10. Is now the president of basketball operations for the Knicks.
With that background, does Donnie Walsh need "advising" on anything as it relates to basketball? Especially by Isiah Thomas?
