Can you help me with insurance for cards.

Is there any good insurance out there to cover an expensive card collection. Collection includes a psa 7 '52 Topps Mantle, signed Ruth ball ect. Collection estimated to be worth between $60,000-$70,000. I don't think my homeowners insurance would cover collectibles. If you know of an insurance that covers this type of collectible please post. Thanks

Wayne: A few guys here use CIA. Good luck. Sounds like a dynamite collection.

coast, Talk to your insurance agent. You may be able to take out a ryder (sp) for your collectibles. It will raise your premium obviously.
  • I suggest you speak with the folks at Cornell and Finkelmeier in Ohio. They specialize in collectibles including sportscards, numismatics, comic books and the like. You really need a specialized carrier to meet the needs of any significant collection and protect you where your basic homeowner coverage ends. I have used Cornell and Finkelmeier for years and their policies are underwritten by Travelers. You can reach them at 419-739-4000. Ask for Tom Finkelmeier.
