Highlights from busting two 1978 Topps Racks from BobS

BobS has nice unopened stuff. Fair prices, good packing, and fast shipping. That ends the infomercial, here are the best of two racks:

Other highlights included another Rose (o/c), and 8 Manager cards in one rack (lowlight - except for Zimmer). Out of the 6 "pockets", 5 were nice 1 was lousy (luckily nobody good was in it).

Bob is a board member here who also sells stuff at shows and on the BST board here. Nice guy to deal with, so I thought I'd give a good plug for him.

Not sure about everyone else, but there are certain cards that can literally transpose me to my youth like a time machine. The 1978 Topps baseball are such cards for me. Just looking at those cards can make me feel like I'm on my bike and heading to the 7/11 to get a cello pack or two.

Those are beautiful cards. Also, some serious lamb chops across the board. Even Charlie Hustle was sporting them. How did those guys play with all that hair in the middle of the summer? I love the jersey over the zip up jacket look too on Schmidt.

    Hey Mike -

Thanks for the plug. Looks like you did alright again. Those were the last 78's I had, and my source has upped the price based on a small market rise (on ebay) for these. I think I'll wait until they cool off a bit before I go back to the well to re-load. BTW - nice Morgan Rose and Schmidt, very nice. I can't bring myself to say "nice Tiant", though.
