Some toners

I got these today. Please ignore the piece of felt lint that's going across the obverse of the Belgian piece...it looks like it's time to find something else to use as a background...lol. The last piece is a toll token - maybe they came with color originally.

Nice job on the photography, any idea what the obverse design of the Belgian piece is depicting?

Looks like a miner and his lantern, no?

I had about a dozen of these a while back...all dated 1954, too...and always wondered why Krause called it a $600 coin. This was maybe 20-25 years ago. Then I looked more closely and discovered that it's the one with the French legend ("Belgique") above the crown and denomination that's the killer rarity. Turns out I had two of those, and still do. Does anyone have a Krause to tell us whet they list for these days? (I'm guessing maybe $5 apiece, right?)

    O frabjous joy!

Thanks for that report, 1/4d !
Now I should get them slabbed, I guess.

I have picked up *many* Belgian coins that look like that right out of the 5/$1 bin.
I've shown them to some folks and they immediately say 'AT!'. Yeah.
I quietly put them away and look for more. I'd like to see the face of whomever
liquidates my collection. Some of the foreign coins will make their eyeballs pop out.

Also, the widget thing in another thread - widgets are what I like.
It doesn't matter what others think of my collection...
