Anyone recognize this arabic piece?

This coin appears to be made of copper or bronze. It's about 21mm in dimeter and fairly thin. Does anyone here have any idea what it is?

The side with the date matches the KM#4 keping of Perak...according to the Krause, the symbol/writing translates to Satkeping
The other side is at least partially solved...the top set of sybols translates to Negri (listed as a title). The bottom writing on that side remains a mystery.
<< <i>Thanks...with a change in direction from your post and some digging around on the internet and books, I've made a little headway on it. I've found pieces with some similar markings in the Malay Pennisula section of the 19th century Krause.

It says "Deli".

Blackhawk,
My educated guess is 20 para - the date is AH1201/Year 1 (if I'm reading it right) which equals 1784 in our calendar system.
It *looks* Egyptian to me, but it's missing the toughra. Having said that, I don't have any Egyptian coins that old, so they
may not have been using them yet.
Hope that's helpful,
Big Dave

This is an example of the class of coins known as "Singapore Merchant Tokens". They weren't actually issued by the government of the state named on the coin, they were made in England for use by British traders there, and elsewhere in Southeast Asia. Here is an example on zeno.ru.
Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius, "Meditations"
Apparently I have been awarded one DPOTD.
<< <i>It's not Egyptian. It has already been identified: Indonesia (Netherlands East Indies), provincial: Sultanate of Deli, 1 keping, AH 1251 (= 1835/36 AD), KM# Tn1. These coins (along with most of Indonesia / Netherlands East Indies between 1806 and 1850) disappeared from the 4th edition Krause catalogue, but I believe the 5th has restored them. Listed (but not illustrated) on NumisMaster.
