Where are all the snipers when I SELL...

Had about 20 cards go off today... Nothing too exciting but some low pop modern cards...

It seems like everyday i see some crazy price for a modern cards.. something you expect to see sell for $30 sells for $200 etc..


And i know when i am bidding I am always going against snipes but it seems like after running thousands of auctions I never get that ridiculous price...

No big deal obviously, just felt like venting to you guys image

    It is a letdown when there is no last minute flurry...

    Sometimes all it takes is 2 non snipers. Last weekend I had about 30 different lower grade 1972 Football high numbers ending, and got some nice last second results on most of them due to 1 or 2 late manual bidders and a sniper.

    I believe that not all ebay auctions are shill-free.image


    It is very frustrating at times. I get paranoid about #1- lower prices realized than expected on my auctions and #2 - being the underbidder on a disproportionate number of auctions.

    I understand that this is probably just whining on my part

    With ending auctions being placed on page six or eight
    by Best Match search, it ain't easy to attract last minute
    action.

    It isn't that difficult for a potential buyer to change the search from best match to ending soonest.

    Correct.

    Experienced buyers of collectibles can do that easily.

    The new and occasional buyer has NOT A CLUE how to do that.

    i hear ya..

    and I just set my preference to ending soonest today.. from best match..
    not sure why the default changed in the last week or so.. but I figured out today I could make it what I wanted to.
