Changes in the NFL draft format this year

The NFL draft is April 26.
1. The draft will begin at 3 PM EST instead of noon and only the first two rounds will be on Saturday with the rest on Sunday.
This was done because more people are watching TV later in the afternoon than at noon and the NFL hopes to keep interest up
into the early evening hours with higher ratings.
2. 10 minutes between picks in the first round instead of 15. 7 minutes in the second round istead of 10 and 5 minutes in the 3rd round
and beyond.
These are much needed changes to move the draft along faster, some say 10 minutes is still too long but you have to figure in there
that ESPN and the NFL network still need time for their commentators to analysis the pick, make projections for the next pick and
still run some commercials.
3. Some things will never change - Mel Kiper will still have his trademark hairstyle.
