If you ever wondered why Griffey Jr is so popular...

This conversation with Harold Reynolds regarding him coming up to the 600 HR plateau shows what kind of guy Griffey Jr is. How can you not respect a player with this type of perception? Every year that passes, I become more of a Griffey Jr fan. It's really too bad Stienbrenner wasnt better to the families of players while Ken Griffey Sr was there. It left a bad taste in Jr's mouth and he never wanted to play for NY because of that. I always wanted him to be a Yankee. Well, it doesnt matter...he is still one of my all time favorites...

I'm not sure Bonds could hold Dennis Rodman's jockstrap when it comes to class. I'm not sure you could find a person with less class than Bonds.

Barry wouldn't be holding any jock strap because he's jelous that he couldn't fit into any of them!
  • He's always been one of my favorite players outside of Tampa, FL or ATL. It's a shame he's so freaking expensive to collect.
  • Great clip - was shocked to see Harold Reynolds, thought ESPN gave him the boot?

He has one of the nicest smooth swings in baseball. He has always been one of my favorites. He was my first player I collected when I got into this hobby.

Rodman might not have been 'classy', but damn if he wasn't a hard worker and a good teammate, and Jordan would say the same.

I think this is the only one on your list that actually has less class than Bonds. The others are things related to competitive drive for the most part, not comments based on prejudice beliefs.

I heard it was Billy Martin that did not want kids in the clubhouse.

Steinbrenner from what I heard was very good to the families of players.

You might be right about that...Was Martin ever manager when Griffey Sr was there though?
