What exactly does "Variety" "Variety plus"means in the submission form?

I think I know what it means but I would still like to be one hundred percent sure.

  • I believe that they are referring to coins with different types such as the 1972 Eisenhower dollar which has a Type 1, Type 2 and a Type 3. Also called varieties.

    it simply means that you have the option of getting a "variety" of grades. Don't want all MS grades? Fine by them, just check the box and they'll sprinkle in some Fines, VF and maybe an XF or two. "Variety Plus" is the fun one though, as anything goes and you'll liable to get some bodybags along with your wide variety of grades.

    I wasn't able to find "variety plus" on the submission form - am I missing something? Variety simply means that if you want a certain recognizeable variety to be attributed (like over-dates, over-assayers, wide vs narrow, etc), you have to pay additional fee.

    No you're not missing anything, I was simply expressing the option for PCGS and NGC forms.
