Ebay Store

For those of us who bother to keep an Ebay store going, how many listings do you have in it right now? Is there any maximum number of items for the $16 basic store??
Running an Ebay store sure takes a lot more time than a person would think!

  • Right now I am down to about 80 items in my store. I do not believe there is a maximum number of listings for any store level.

You can put as many in as you can list.

100 items is the first stage of critical mass.

225 to 500 usually makes for a good earner.

Obviously, you have to use CORE-listings to drive
folks into your store; no matter how many store
    items you have listed.

The EBAY discussion boards are a good place to
learn from the most experienced sellers. You
    might try the following boards:

    EBAY Stores

    Seller Central

If you post there, use a posting ID. Do NOT use your
    seller ID.

I usually have between 200-400 items in my store. All graded. Sales have been fine lately. It all depends on what you're selling and how competitive you are with your prices. Some stores have their prices set at typically double the normal ebay selling rate. I've found that won't work. At least it doesn't for me.

I'm not looking to bend people over one deal at a time. I'm looking for steady, repeat customers, who are happy with the deals.

A deals only a deal if it's fair to both parties involved, in my opinion.

Like Storm said, list under a different name than your posting id.

I had 200-400 but I closed mine last month as it seemed the sales went from $1000/month to about $100 since Feb. Economy? Taxes? I don't know but it cooled off.

I agree it takes about 200+ to justify the expense.
