I made a blockbuster trade!!

I made this blockbuster this morning with a guy in my league.

Blanton, Joe SP OAK
Cain, Matt SP SF
Fielder, Prince 1B MIL

Beltran, Carlos CF NYM
Garko, Ryan 1B CLE
Penny, Brad SP LA
Saunders, Joe SP ANA

I got Fielder/Blanton/Cain for Beltran ect..

what do you Fantasy Baseball guys think?

    If your league pays big attention to wins, picking up Cain and dropping Penny wasn't very smart.

    If you had all 'Stros, you probably would be in first place.

    So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

    Maybe you see somthin that I don't, but this is what I see.....

    Blanton- 1-3 with a 4+ era currently
    Cain- low era, high loss count=low win count
    fielder- solid

    Beltran- power,speed..A+
    Garko- hit a HR tonight. doesn't mean he's great but it sucks you traded him a day early.
    Penny- Should win some games and will have a low ERA
    Saunders- 2-0 with something like a 2 ERA if I'm correct.

    The trade wont come in to effect until Monday-the start of a new week. Beltran is a WIMP imo- he will not play a full season, Penny doesnt get that many strikeouts, Saunders who knows? Unproven as far as I can see. Bottom line I dont need those pitchers anyways, I think Fielder will hit 40+ HR's this year- HR's are 4 points-wins are 5 with 1pt for a K -1 for each ER.

    Only time will tell I quess!

    gotta say im not super pumped about it.

    Moving Blanton now was good after a nice start, moving fielder after a slow start could be very bad.



    EDIT- I read that wrong, nice trade on your end.

    I'm never a big fan of picking up quality pitchers on bad teams (i.e. Matt Cain). The Giants are gonna be lucky to win 60 games this year.
    Atlanta Braves, Charlotte Hornets, Shawn Kemp, Dale Murphy, and Bobby Engram.
