I submitted these under the $5 special. All of these cards were pulled from wax and rack packs by me and most of them will be added to my registry sets. I'm particularly pleased with the PSA 9 1972 OPC Aparicio IA card, a 1/1 card that is a real beauty. Was hoping for a 10 on that one, LOL! I can usually count on a higher percentage of 10s, especially with the 78-80 cards, but grading was tight this time around. Overall, I'm pleased, and will be sending in another sub later this month.

    Thanks, guys, appreciate the kind words! Yes, these cards were all pulled from wax and rack packs (and one 1977 cello pack which yielded the PSA 8 Rose). All the 78s came from rack packs, and the 80s came from wax racks and wax trays (the two 81 Schmidt and Rice were from a super cello--was really hoping for a 10 on one of those!). Turnaround was quick: about 10 days.

    After see that sub, I'd crack the 1978 Brett that got a 7. image After seeing all those high grades I refuse to believe you missed something on that card. I've never even seen that card and I'm saying PSA is wrong on that one. One PSA 7 in over 130 cards. Bravo sir.

    Thanks, Nick! Truth be told, I must admit that the Brett was a bit OC, but I thought that maybe I'd squeeze it through and if I placed it well into the run of 78s, the grader would think right along your lines...image

    Thanks again, Frank! If I ever abandoned the idea of finishing that set, you'll be the first I contact. One thing that does frustrate me about putting together the 72 OPC set is that there seems to always be an abundance of Series 2 packs, but never any Series 1, from which I can pull cards to submit.

    Don't I know it!!!

    And even quality 1st Series lots have dried up on eBay over the last year or two. We've gotta come up with some good Canadian contacts!!!
