No offense to my card collecting brethren but if I could drop money like that on cards I would be buying a brand new Porsche 911 to drive around in FIRST. Then spend money on cards after that! Of course maybe this guy already has the 911....

Agreed. I sold something to him and that's about as much I'm going to divulge.

Well, I guess the only question I have about this whole spree is - is he a collector or someone looking to bump and flip 8's? What would your opinion be? Was what you sold him something with bump potential? Is that too much to give away? Other than that curiosity, I don't really care who he is. I'm just wondering if the 1/2 grade policy has created a new kind of short term buyer - which I think is a valid hobby question.
Looks to be one of the most expensive ways to build a graded card collection of mainly PSA 8s you'll ever see. Nothing seemed to really stand out in the $100K worth of purchases.
The seller of that Koufax also sold a 52 Mantle graded by PRO where he states he bought it raw from Brigandi and sent it to the cheapest grader, one he didn't have to join etc. Of course the buyer sent it to PSA and it wouldn't grade.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

I recommend you don't do that - driving around in "first" gear only could blow the engine!
You got me. I should proof read these things for clarity!
I would purchase a 911 first and drive it in all gears!
