The book I have lists a couple different varieties, how can you tell the difference?

Look at the '9' is it wide or narrow? Look at the 'oval' in the nine. You have a narrow nine. The most common one. The wide nine has more of a circle in the nine.

    Check out this site...link.

If you go to the menu on the left that's noe titled "please select", there will be a varieties page. Check your coin against the varieties of the 1859 shown there. The 1 in the date of your coin appears to be doubled on the bottom.
