Know what you have- 1971 topps baseball find!

Shame on me...I have too many cards that are unorganized laying around. Proof in point..... Today I was digging through my boxes of cards and found a 1971 topps partial baseball set that I started back in the late 1980's. I have probably about 400-500 cards from what I can tell. I have to admit.... I haven't looked at the set in 15 years even though I send stuff to psa all the time to get graded. The box has been under the BIG STACK for a long time and I figured that most were in excellent shape at best and didn't think any were psa worthy. To make a long story short I pulled the set out today and started to rifle through the cards and I almost got tears in my eyes. About 200-300 of the cards were like brand new. On the outside of the box was a mailing address from Bill Henderson in Wisconsin. Once I saw the name I remembered where all these nice cards came from... back in the 80's he sold lots of 300-500 near mint cards from various years (60's-70's) as starter sets. If my memory serves me right I bought 300 from him to start the set and then added on cards as I went to various shows/shops. The 300 from look to be from vending or packs and are gorgeous. Many are OC which is common for this set I believe. I will post some scans if someone can give me the lowdown of how to do it. I just got a new Dell with a scanner and have never scanned before. I tried to scan and send a few pictures tonight of some '68's to a fellow board member but that didn't work out. The scans came back as undeliverable in my email box. I'm such a computer geek! Take care and hopefully I can post some scans tomorrow! It was a good day!

  • If someone can give me the lowdown on how to post scans on these boards I would be glad to start showing you some of the goods. I went through the box this afternoon and pulled the 50 best ones. If you want a personal look send me your email and I will send you a scan of a couple of scans.. I know how to do that at least.. Like I said.. I am computer illiterate!! Come on guys... give me the lowdown on how to post scans.

Go to http://www.tinypic.com and on the right hand side of your screen it says "Upload images & videos", you will see a big grey button that says "Browse". Hit it, find the file on your pc. and push open. Then hit the big button that says "Upload now" The image will upload into tinypic. You will see a box that says IMG code for forums and message boards. Copy the URL in that box, and post it back here in your post.

BAAAMMMMM, your picture will pop up. Good luck,
