...........Salt water beach areas? Going to the beach this week and thought I would take the detector.

mine works very well in the dry sand, but stinks in the wet sand...hh

Like Dubba said, it works great in the dry, not so well in the wet. I have used mine only twice on the salt beaches and the wet sand causes loads of problems. If you do use it, you will have to turn the sens down even more than normal. Let us know how it works for you and if you have any tips for us after you use it on the beach.
