<< <i>All great finds--I had to go with the saloon token on this one. Very nice Riccar--by the way, you sure do find alot of Walking Liberty Halves--it sure does seem that way anyway--is that two or three so far this year? I would love to dig where you do >>
Thanks Scott, I'm surprised too. I haven't found as many of some of the guys here, but yes, this year I've already found 2. (And, the place where these were found, was not turning up "diddly" for the first couple months!) I hereby hand off the Walker-baton to you... now go get the next Walker!
As for the saloon token... it's a pretty rare find, so I'd take it over most U.S. silver. (I agree with you... If I had the choice, I'd rather find the saloon token than the wl half)
Thanks for the kind words of encouragement. I'm kinda doubting I'll be finding any WL halves anytime soon. I've yet to find my first half--not even a stinking clad Kennedy LOL. One of these days, I'll get in a few "new firsts". The way my silver coin finds are going, I'm lucky to find one a month-some months I have to find them in rings I got spoiled back in Dec/Jan/Feb when I was finding silver like crazy. How two months time can change your outlook on things
When I do find my first half (hopefully it will be a WL--one of the prettiest US coins ever in my opinion), you can better believe that I'll make sure everyone sees it and is able to read the story.
Take care,
Scott
