Wow! Thats a rare Loonie..considering there didn't exist in 1969.

  • << <i>Loonie is the name Canadians gave the gold-coloured, bronze-plated, one-dollar coin shortly after its introduction in 1987 >>

    From Wikipedia.

I stand corrected. Are my eyeballs deceiving me? The date on that looks like 1969, but Dock is correct. The Loonie didn't exist in 69.

    The poll has been corrected.

The "Loonie" started in 1987. what you have is most likely an 1989.

I voted for BigTime's sequential bills. I'd love to know the actual odds of finding these bills in differant locations!

  • Once again, all awesome wildcard finds. I had to go with the marble. I don't collect them, but I found it very interesting.

What are the odds of finding two sequential 40-year old dollar bills in two different places? That got my vote. They must not have been separated for long?

Collector since 1976. On the CU forums here since 2001.
