as usual, stunning Mac! I do in fact has some Jubilee Florins, in fact too many of them actually. I just don't have any of them imaged.

those are beautiful examples! I just missed a truly nice raw Godless a few months back. It appeared in hand to be MS65 and original surfaces, much like yours. He wanted more than i was willing to pay at the time, but looking back, i should have went for it anyway.

    thanks for sharing!

    Doug

PS: oh, i do have one of my Double Florins imaged, is that close enough? image

by the way, the beautiful Brits you've posted the last couple days should probably also be included in the 'British coin Friday' thread, so we can compile one large thread of beauties!

Miss Vicky coins have to be my all time favorites. The designof all her coins are something to behold. They remind me of the liberty standing series of coins of our own USA. Beautiful coins, guys. Keep sending those pictures. Is there any way to print these pics off the forumn? Thanks, Olmanjon.

Awesome coins though I do like the 1849 more.

The sigline is amazing too. Whats the grade?

Wasn't 1848 the earliest of Victoria's florins? According to a spreadsheet I've got here on my PC, there's a pretty dynamite proof in a safe deposit box where I keep "the good stuff." Interestingly, the date doesn't show up in my handy old Seaby's catalog/stock book, "Coins of England." What's up with that?

Oh yeah...almost forgot my favorite Jubilee Head florin:

    Thanks everyone....

Olmanjohn, place your mouse over the image, right click, and the click on "Save As". It should default to some file name with the original file type extension. In this case it is *.jpg.

Coinkat, a 66? Good eye!! Well, I hope so, someday anyway. image However, that 1901 florin is currently still raw for it's 107th year in a row. But who knows the vagaries of a TPG if I were to submit. I have a halfcrown which is even nicer on all counts (strike, colour, lustre, blemish-free, etc.) that was only graded as MS65. image

ecoinquest, the half sov. currently in my sig line is in an NGC MS66 holder.

Nice coins all, and Daltonista, lovely proof Jubilee florin. The 1848 you have is one of several florin pattern designs which were done before the debut of the Godless florin in '49. They are listed in ESC. I need to save my pennies to obtain this ESC-899 some day. It's simple, but elegant in a way, and I love that "VR" cypher in the center.

I like them both... I did not offer a grade on the 1849 as that one likely needs an in hand inspection to completely appreciate and get right. It definitely is a 64 but mostlikely higher...

The 1901 just screams out 66...image

Mac, you hit the nail on the head!
Jogged my old decrepit memory too...

The one I have is ESC 886. Here's an image of it...not of mine, though.
As I recall, mine had more cameo stuff going on.
