wow, topps did their best to water this stuff down. Funny that back in 06, when it sold like fire, there were NO dna relics only a checklist
of autographs that would make Jesus blush. now we get a list of "rock/paper/scissors champions"..OUCH. That list of relics looks like
autos will be ever rarer this year.

I hope they step this up!

Nice.... Will be buying a box of this stuff. Pat Neshek made it into this set! Will be picking up his cards to get signed.

As I've said before, this really the only modern stuff I buy. I had a huge success last year with this series. Not so much in 2006. I looked in the closet this morning to see all of the boxes that I saved. I opened 12 boxes of this stuff not to mention 20 or so blasters and some individual packages people bought me. I went pretty nuts with the stuff.
I have 2 extra complete base sets of the stuff, but was given wise advice to hang on to it till the next round came out and we are slowly approaching that.
This is my favorite stuff to rip. We had a rip party last year for this stuff too and probably will do that again this year. As for the Castro card, I think they should do another one to make up for the one that got written on last year. What a waste.
Just talking about A&G is more than enough to get me excited about this coming July.

While I LOVE A&G, I think you may be right. This is getting to be too much. Why they don't do something with soccer players is beyond me. The Ronaldo card is a very good call.

glad the got robert motley in ther-last black negro league umpire-are supposed to be 4 more nego leagers in this set like last year- i see eddie riddenbacker and stormin norman autos,if they are not butcher cuts like some of em was like last year

I mean I know everyone doesn't care about the autos and there is much to be collected in this set, but those collectors are already
going to have to pay more to rip into this stuff. It would be nice to have more value in the boxes. I don't need to tell you that its
much easier to trade for mini set needs with a Ripken auto than an Ervin Santana auto.

Topps got much attention because of the George Washington hair last year and it looks like they want to keep that up, but they
have to pass that cost on to you and I...people who will never see those cards. That is a bit disappointing.

I just hope that prices of this stuff remain affordable, so that set builders can continue the fun!!!

some more negro leaguers would be nice as well. As far as I know this is the only card of Paul Robson (Rutgers All-American football player)

Added sellsheet. I really like the black borders for the autos, it contrasts nicely with the card. And I really, really hope that Gomes is added to it again!!!

I think the mammoth DNA is a cool concept, not nearly as rare as the as the other issues in the subset though.

They are sticking to the original A&G release theme, so yes. They varied somewhat over the last 2 decades of the 19th century, but stayed true to one another in design.

On sell sheets they use the autograph from a players first contract with Topps. They do the same with facsimile autographs on cards.
