    Hey Mac, do love your 1/2 sov. that looks to be 1838 from my small computer screen! Nice quality silver bit, but never liked those bulging eyes and have left the entire series alone...

    Nope, it's an 1858 1/2 sov., and yes, he is depicted with some bulging eyes, eh. I'll probably part with him as well as a few other non-Victorian in the near future.
