BigJohnD IS ready to ship, It IS your turn, BigJohnD has your snail mail addy and the box should be on the way to you today or tomorrow. I just KNOW you are gonna take that 1939 25c PCGS MS66!
Well, this is a tad ridiculous... While I did not take the box to the main PO in Chicago, which is across from my office and I apologize, My neighborhood PO is a distribution center and larger than most POs in the city. Lesson Learned.

I dont think you need to apologize. Sometimes the USPS is just slow with registered mail. If it aint there by monday, we will start looking into it. Hopefully it will get there today or tomorrow.

Maybe in the future we should include the option of EXPRESS mail also?
I have had MorganHunter2 ship me a TAG Box express mail before and it got to me the next day and made it here ok. He says that the cost is about the same with insurance.

BOOM should have the box today or tomorrow for sure!
I apparently had a substitute carrier on the route today. All the Regulars know to either blow the horn or to simply come to the front door and ring the doorbell because NO DOGS ARE LOOSE in the Mornings!
They ALL know this therefore I can state beyond doubt that this MUST have been the reason for the Beige colored slip being in my Mailbox. Alas, I had to fire up the Boom-mobile and go to to Post Office, right at closing time to pick the box up! So YES, I DO NOW HAVE IT IN MY POSESSION.
Weekends are the busiest times of the week for me (Hmmmm! I'm "busy" EVERY DAY, LOL!) and this weekend I happen to have 31 items listed on eBay. I'll open the box sometimes Saturday and begin looking things over. It would be a fair statement to say that worst case scenario would have me DONE and the box on to the next tagger by Monday, the 28th. I can't wait to look thru the contents!!
I'll keep everyone up to date - especially my Bud, TC71.
Have a great weekend all AND, if you get a chance DO DROP IN and check out my listings on eBay. Ebay Power Seller Extraordinnaire - pittbreeder.
Ta-ta, Au Revoir, plus tard et toutes les autres comme ca.
Something mighty strange going on here! Example, if you look at how much $$-wise Earl and Big John TOOK, according to these records, BOTH put IN a LOT MORE than they took OUT!
Some of these coins are graded ridiculously. The 1940, so called PCGS 63 is UNDERGRADED BIGTIME. Well, at least at first glanceit certainly appears to be! I really didn't give it the "Good eye" yet but it's the best 63 I EVER SAW! I only got to open it and have been checking the list against the contents - haven't even been to bed yet! Sheesh!
TC71 - Do me a favor please so I can make sure what's going of exactly what is supposed to be IN the boxes? I certainly would appreciate it.
I see that BJD snapped up the 81-O & 82-S along with an 83-O.
Maybe we can swing a deal amongst ourselves because I have higher graded 83-O but only a raw 82-S that I paid $50 for. I think it's gonna grade minimum 64 if not 65. 83-O, I have several.
I also see that Earl snapped up 80-S, 85-O and 88-O. I have several 80-S certified that are graded considerably higher (minimum 63 & some 64s and as for 85-O I also have more than one - both grading higher than PCGS 62. One of them has a gorgeous Rainbow crescent on the Reverse. I also think I have a few 21-D of interest he might like. Earl and I have ALWAYS treated each other quite well.
As for 81-S, I have MANY - everything from OGH 63 PCGS PL to PCGS 64 and then some! I have an 80-S that is without doubt THE most awesome specimen I have EVER seen, struck in high relief with gorgeous Proof-like featires and gorgeous toning to go with it. It's got it ALL and is one of my absolute all time Favorites. If I told you what I paid for it I think YOU'd pass out too. Remember a while back when coins that began with the #s 219 cause such a ruckus that everyone was up in arms and brought about the infamous checking of the graders, right across the board? It's one of those and drop-dead gorgeous. I don't think I'd part with it. It would definitely go in my "box of 20."
TC, sorry I missed your call but you rang at a bad time. I was in a bind with my Mother (the non-complainer) who is STILL hurting BIGTIME from her procedure. On top of tis, she's diabetic and Obese from being sedentary. It's killing me to watch her die slowly right before my eyes. Her knees buckled and she fell - NOT GOOD! Then she bottomed out and went out like a light because of her Diabetes.
All this had my #s all screwy and shortly thereafter my Blood Pressure rose so high that I blacked out too! I haven't been getting more than 3-4 hrs nap for almost a Month now. I had gotten all my #s back to the perfect range before all this... I ate a light supper and just fell out! Man! Aren't WE the pair?
I'll touch base with you and just may make you an offer to make your head spin. Would you do me a favor and write out a seperate revised, up to date list of all the coins that are supposed to be here? hereconsider typing out a New Master list
At any rate, I need some rest. Please write out a new list of exactly what all is supposed to be here, OK? It will certainly help expedite and facilitate matters.

1880 s anacs ms61 - 35 2003 GAE pcgs ms69 -137.00 1885 o pcgs ogh ms62 -40.00 1888 o pcgs ms62 - 38.00 -------------------------------------------- TOTAL = $250.00
Put in:

The difference is only $5 on the first one, $27 on the second one, and Earl was good with it.
So, money wise there is no huge difference.
Now if you are talking about the quality of the coins, that might be something else....
<< <i>Is the Boomerang done yet? Hope all is well and stay out of the hurricanes.... >>
I dont think he has even got started. Last I heard from him, which was last Saturday, five days ago, he was finalizing some Ebay sales and mailing out two packages for me. I figure when he gets done with that he will get around to the box.......
Whenever BOOM gets outta bed we should get this thing finalized. He said that he has narrowed down his choices and will make a proposal to the box this morning. I hope to get him to ship by the end of the weekend, but hopefully TODAY!
Edit: ClayChaser is next, I have sent BOOM! his mailing info, Now lets get this show back on the road!
Just getting done with today's shipments and it is time for a BREAK!
I stayed up all night working all sorts of possibilities to get this out today and am just now getting back to the boards for just a minute as my day is but half over.
Therefore I am just now seeing that slipgate wants the box. Maybe things work out as they do for reasons we will never comprehend. As such, Gary, I will give the box another couple looks over-night because as you know there are still other pieces I am interested in. If I decide on anything more I naturally will check with you but no matter what, unless YOU tell me differently - this box leaves for slippery gate's place Tomorrow!
Before I get this box out, I want claychaser, oxy, slipgate and any other interested parties to know that there are several other coins here that interest me, as TC71 already knows. They would entertain me for a while - at best!
I have some real nice Key Date & mint marked Washington Quarters that I can add to the mix, worth several hundreds of dollars EACH! Moreover, I KNOW I have exactly the type coins that would interest TC71, claychaser, eyoung429 and in all likelihood, several more of you.
I agree with BOOM on this one- certain mail delivery methods are slow and far to expensive to tolerate.
Overnight or next day insured with a list of what is in the box - works- ask me why.
I have done it a few times and the postal service has told me its legit. - show the box opened at the teller and put a copy of the list in it in front of the teller and guess what - works better than registered.
they must sign a copy of your reciept and get an employee # in case your skeptical.

I still have a ton of PQ Quarters, certified and definitely certifiable.
My collecting interests have definitely changed direction.
I find myself reverting back to the old US coins that interested me all along.
Some - true classics, some that will always be classified as such as well as various others.
Everything from old Half Cents to Morgans - lots of Bust & seated material, Gold & Silver Bullion etc, etc.
Surely I'll find something that will make this all worthwhile. Hint, hint!
Throw some nice, interesting pieces in there BigJohnD. I'll be waiting!
Please post the updated list of contents along with shipment date & Track & Confirm numbers.
Or at least make them available to me via email AND/ OR PM!
Have a great weekend everybody!
Later,
B00M
Did the box show up from Chicago yet? I'm next, so no dawgs, snakes, bugs or gators from your bayou in the backyard in it please!

Man, talk about slow!!
<< <i>Well, this is a tad ridiculous... >>

I have had MorganHunter2 ship me a TAG Box express mail before and it got to me the next day and made it here ok. He says that the cost is about the same with insurance.
What say you?

Priority Mail, insured with Delivery Confirmation has NEVER failed me.
Express is a needless expense and is no faster than Priority. If so, it's not by much!
Registered Mail is a Royal Pain.

I apparently had a substitute carrier on the route today. All the Regulars know to either blow the horn
or to simply come to the front door and ring the doorbell because NO DOGS ARE LOOSE in the Mornings!
They ALL know this therefore I can state beyond doubt that this MUST have been the reason for the
Beige colored slip being in my Mailbox. Alas, I had to fire up the Boom-mobile and go to to Post Office,
right at closing time to pick the box up! So YES, I DO NOW HAVE IT IN MY POSESSION.
Weekends are the busiest times of the week for me (Hmmmm! I'm "busy" EVERY DAY, LOL!) and this
weekend I happen to have 31 items listed on eBay. I'll open the box sometimes Saturday and begin
looking things over. It would be a fair statement to say that worst case scenario would have me DONE
and the box on to the next tagger by Monday, the 28th.
Soigne' - toi.

<< <i>Something mighty strange going on here! Example, if you look at how much $$-wise Earl and Big John TOOK, according to these records, BOTH put IN a LOT MORE than they took OUT! >>
Nothing strange about it:
BigJohnD:
Put in:
1896 PCGS MS-62 $1 $38
1887 PCGS MS-63 $1 $49
1939 PCGS MS-66 .25 $100
1940 PCGS MS-63 .25 $35
1960 PCGS MS-64FBL .50 $50
Total $272
Took Out:

1882-s PCGS MS-63 $1 $49
1896 PCGS MS-63 $1 $49
1923 PCGS MS-63 $1 $35
1899-O PCGS MS-64 $1 $67
1881-O PCGS MS-62 $1 $38
Total $267
Eyoung429:
Took Out:
1880 s anacs ms61 - 35
2003 GAE pcgs ms69 -137.00
1885 o pcgs ogh ms62 -40.00
1888 o pcgs ms62 - 38.00
--------------------------------------------
TOTAL = $250.00
Put in:

1887 P PCGS MS64 - $67.00
1923 P PCGS MS63 - $35.00
1881 S NGC MS63 - $40.00
1948 D NGC MS63 FBL - $30.00
1964 P PCGS MS65 - $38
-------------------------------------------
TOTAL = $277.00
*********************************************
The difference is only $5 on the first one, $27 on the second one, and Earl was good with it.
So, money wise there is no huge difference.
Now if you are talking about the quality of the coins, that might be something else....

BOOM. Please ship to slipgate!
After slipgate is done with the Tag Box. I will post contents HERE ONLY and if anyone wants a crack at it, then PM me!
TC71
I stayed up all night working all sorts of possibilities to get this out today and
am just now getting back to the boards for just a minute as my day is but half over.
Therefore I am just now seeing that slipgate wants the box. Maybe things work out
as they do for reasons we will never comprehend. As such, Gary, I will give the box
another couple looks over-night because as you know there are still other pieces I am
interested in. If I decide on anything more I naturally will check with you but no matter
what, unless YOU tell me differently - this box leaves for slippery gate's place Tomorrow!
Thanx Big Guy! It's a real Hoot working with you.
Catch you guys a little later.
Best, to all.
BOOM
You the man! Thanks for the host. If Slipgate adds something that hits my radar I will let you know.
Cheers ,

"Those guys weren't Fathers they were...Mothers."
Before I get this box out, I want claychaser, oxy, slipgate and any other interested parties to
know that there are several other coins here that interest me, as TC71 already knows. They would entertain me for a while - at best!
I have some real nice Key Date & mint marked Washington Quarters that I can add to the mix,
worth several hundreds of dollars EACH! Moreover, I KNOW I have exactly the type coins that
would interest TC71, claychaser, eyoung429 and in all likelihood, several more of you.
So ... what's your Pleasure fellas?
OK guys - I am packing up the box NOW
with the aforementioned agreed upon
material being exchanged.
I will go to the Post Office directly
and provide the required info very shortly.
Thanx TC - Get ready slipperygate - comin' at ya!
The box is officially on it's way, shipped the same way it was received & per TC71's instructions.
It is on the way Registered and Insured to the address provided for slipgate
bearing Registered Mail tag # RA962431053US.
I would like to especially thank TC71 for hosting yet another fine tag.
Sorry I took a couple days extra but it's done and I can now rest easy.
Enjoy slipster!
Regards to all,

Gotta go for now.

Do you think they want to go to jail?

GEEEEE, you just can't get one of these home, can you.
Still I hope you had fun, and found a lot of goodies when it came home. Sorry I couldn't take a turn this time around.
Paul
