British Trade Dollar with lion reverse.... Looks nice, anyone know anything about it?

I've never seen one before and I figure it is some type of aftermarket counterfeit or special medal. However, it is cool as crap and I wouldn't mind having it!

Well I bought it, Link. Might be counterfeit but it was just too cool for me to pass on. I am trying to find out where this cat got this from or any history on it. If anyone has anything let me know. I'll take some more pics when i get it.

Looks like a fantasy piece, but for $25 it's hard to go wrong (assuming it's silver...)

It's definitely not a trade dollar, but it's an interesting concept. The market is full of mock pieces like this nowadays - pretty much commodity stuff.

The seller is advising that he thinks it was a pattern piece produced by the London Mint in the 80's....
