I am now up to 34 vintage or semi-vintage sets where I need seven or fewer cards to complete in PSA 8 or better. Added to the 67 sets that I have completed already in PSA 8 or better, that would get me to my goal of 100 sets in PSA 8 or better if I could just complete the ones I am down to seven or fewer cards. Of course certain of these cards do not exist in psa 8 or better and some are next to impossible but that's the challenge. Of course there are a lot of other sets I am working on that are approaching seven cards so I am confident I will get there. The final card for many of my sets have come from Set Registry or Message Board participants. I certainly appreciate everyones help and I would be a strong payer for whatever cards you have that I need.
With that as an introduction, here are the 34. You can contact me here or at jdc122@aol.com:

I'll see if my contact has 1954 Bowman baseball 144 Johnson.
That is the only one on your list i may be able to get.
Steve
That would be huge--thanks for checking.
Jim
Mickey71
The Dale is easily the toughest 8 in the set--pop 4 with none higher.
Thanks for checking.
Jim
I have a line on a little football now and then
Have a 68 Smith also a toughie and a some 63,s you need per your set if you want them drop me a line.
I might have to consult my broker on any sales or trades He goes by FUZZDUDE
Whew! At lease you didn't say that you were working for the Evil Empire.
Fuzz is okay and he has tweaked me enough so that I am getting more competitive in the 60s Olympics--some of the sets it doesn't look like it will take much to knock him out.
jdc122@aol.com.
I know your prices will be as low as Couldabeena. He told me he wants me to catch Fuzz so bad he sold me a set recently below cost.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Is that price based on the Goodwin auction last year where the card went for over $1,700.
It is a pop 12--the lowest in the set, but not an especially low pop.
Jim
I know that this was the last card for me to complete my set back 5 years ago. I have only seen the card sell twice-once on ebay and once in Goodwin. Both times the card went for crazy money. One of my friends needs it to complete his set and he totally forgot to bid in Goodwins auction. He was so pissed he missed out on it. I have another friend which I told you about a couple months past that is wanting me to break his incomplete set for him. He has many PSA 9's which will be easy to sell, but he does not want to be stuck with the 25 easier PSa 8's from the set. I can get the card but the money thing would have to work in order to bust it up.
Shane
Interesting......guess I will have to use my charm to get this one at a good price.
Jim
1 - Jim has moer cards than God.
2- Shane has more friends than I do (not a surprise, he is a nicer guy).
3- Jim has more nearly complete sets than I will ever have completed.
4- If you needle him enough, he does pay attention.
5- Jim has a lot of money to spend on cards.
6 - Jim's marketing quest involving everyone in his pursuit is brilliant and highly effective.
7- All those little partial sets are about to come under a little pressure.
8- There going to be another shark in the water on the Olympics game again.
Good Luck, Jim
Its a competitive world but I have a few more tricks up my sleeve too--I told Joe--get me another 2,000 holders.
Fuzz--just don't tell be the one, the only, the internet legend Shopping Lucy is entering the fray. That would raise the competitive level by several notches.
Just don't tell me that Jeremy has dropped the Evil Empire as a client and is now the force behind Shopping Lucy--that would really make me cry in my beer.
Dav
Jim certainly has the most incredible collection I know. The problem that he has is all of his sets are down to just a few and sometimes this becomes the frustrating part of collecting. Fortunately, Jim has another 100 raw sets to send to PSA while looking for some of those toughies.
Jim any chance you saw the 1968 Topps 3-d set in SCP auction? I believe one of those toughies that you need in an 8 is in that set. If you want to go into the set together, I believe we could make some money.
SL
I saw that--e-mail me!
Jim
You can knock off 1952 Topps baseball (which, admitedly, you need a few dozen cards and upgrades) with Goodwin's current auction, if you are so inclined. It would be phenomenal to knock off one of the premier post-war sets in one fell swoop.
Cheers,
Marc
Shane
Still biding my time until you decide to jump into the rough waters of the 1971 Milk Duds set.
John
those 52's from goodwin must be mighty tempting . seems like he is really limiting his audience by having an auction with just 1 set , hard to be lieve he did not have any other consignments for the summer auction, it's a shame as I look forward to his auctions.
Perhaps--let me check and see if I have it ungraded--perhaps you could send me price jdc122@aol.com.
1952 set is tempting--I honestly don't think I can finish this in 8, I have roughly 350 psa 8s or better now but I need the Pafko and Mathews and need to upgrade my 8 oc Mantle--also I need a number of the lower pop commons--lots of money to finish--I may try to by most of rest in 7 and then slowly upgrade.

Matt
I just finished my second PSA set, If I can ever finish 10 sets I'll be thrilled.
Glad you are doing well.
