showcase registry

I listed this set in the showcase registry. I entered them in the set
by year and denomonation so they would be in a proper orded. I do not understand why they are listed this way. Does anyone
Know how I cna change this. I would prefer not to delete the set and relist it unless I know it will work.

Thanks
Joe

Joe - When you go to the edit page, you will notice that there is a "Move UP or DOWN" slection for the coin. Use this function to position the coins in the order you want. Example

How do you create a set in the Showcase Registry? I can't seem to see the way.

    Go to "My Set Registry"

    Click on "Showcase"

then click on "Create New Showcase"

    Have fun

Are you related to that nimrod, Marty? image

Nope, but I think that all AU-58 'birthmark' kennedy's should be named 'dotheads' in the nimrod's honor. Sounds like a fair compromise. imageimage

The most INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING thing about the showcase registry (from a functional standpoint) is that to move a coin from one line to another takes an EXTREMELY long time and is quite cumbersome - i.e. you can only move it one line at a time before the page refreshes.

It would be great if PCGS built in a way to enter the DESIRED line number for the coin to appear on so that during the edit process you simply typed the line number - e.g. if you had 100 coins and you added a coin that should be
(or at least that you want to be) on line number 5, you could just enter that njumber instead of having to do 96 iterations of "Move Up".

Of course this "disadvantage" is also an "advantage" in that you can order the coins any way you want and not be forced to use the default order that the inventory or regular registry sets used.

Perhaps another way to "fix" this is (and probably easier to implement) would be for PCGS to offer two different "sort rules" - i.e. either "custom" or "default. At least in this way new coins entered would be REALLY CLOSE to where they should be and you would then be able to "tweak" the order by moving things up or down just a little bit if necessary.

If you notice MY Showcase Set, you'll see what a pain I'm facing for the last 19 coins. image

It took my OVER 15 minutes yesterday to move a coin from near the end to near the middle of the Jefferson nickels! image

    Hi,

You hit the nail on the head! It would be nice if PCGS could take a page from NGC's site and allow the set owners to create a blank slot when the set is done so the coin can be directly added!image

It would also allow yourself and others to see at a glance what is still needed in the set. Much like current registry sets show year/MM but no coin until you add it.

    An even better solution!!!! image
