Minnesota Twins 1987 World series Wheaties box

I have the original Box that all of the players signed after winning the world series in 1987. They are all authentic signatures. the box was used to print all of the other Wheaties boxes and then it was given away as a prize in a United Way drawing that my dad won. it is excellent condition. How much do you think it is worth?

    First off - welcome!

Do you have a scan of the item? I would sure like to see it.

I would guess that's not the kind of item that would come up very often on ebay or any other place?

I don't have a recent Catalog on Memorabilia - I have a 2003 Standard Catalog of Sports Memorabilia that lists an auto baseball from the '87 WS Twins at $400. I would say that's a tad low.

So will the box have more allure than a ball? Only a sale will tell.

I'm getting the idea - what you have is the "PROTOTYPE" since they then copied the auto'ed box and put it in production - the fax auto box is worth like $40 while the more generic championship box is worth like $15.

Since it's most likely a ONE of a KIND item - and if there's some kind of documention - that item is really cool and to a Twins collector pure gold!!!!

So - this item could go for much more than a WS baseball IMO - but don't hold me to this since I don't know squat!

    Just an opine.
    Good luck!

I had to do some searching to find a fax auto vs the more generic one:

So the proof of the origin is simple - no two auto'ed boxes if gotten privately would match EXACTLY the fax copy box.

That would prove it's validity and then? Ya got gold IMO!!!

Do we have any Twins fans here? This is a keeper fer sure!
