Authenticating a mini football helmet

I recently purchased a mini Cowboys helmet signed by Tony Romo. The certificate of authenticity was a small (5" x 5") sheet of parchment paper stating that the signature is authentic and licensed through, I believe Riddell. I have never purchased any authenticated items before. Does that sound legit? I guess I was expecting something more (i.e company logo, serial number, etc.)
