Interesting deformed dime??

Found this in my change some years back and thought I 'de post some pics. Looks like the dime planchet was deformed or the die that struck it was deformed. Any thoughts? I'm surpised it was circulating around so long before I picked it out as it looks so odd.

Not sure how to interpret that response. Are you suggesting it's a doctored coin??
