selling darkside stuff on ebay (how it will go)

On Tuesday, the philosophy of start the bidding low with no reserve, results in competitive bidding for your old, offbeat, exotic darkside coin/token/medal, pushing the final price up to its nearly full retail value (say, $35-$50).

On Wednesday, that same philosophy for the same item, results in a final sales price of .....one dollar.

And vice versa

Yep, I've taken to starting at the least I will take for an item. A bunch of the British I was cleaning out couple of weeks ago went for what I consider moon money. I listed a bunch of decent but cleaned items, expecting around $5-600, they wound up over $1600.
  • I hope it wasn't a Prince Edward Island piece... I had planned to bid on one, but my wife kept me busy arround the house and when I finally got to the computer the auction was over.. at .99 cents and few choice words directed at no one floated through my house.

And then you just pay fees because people prefer to try and win the bargain, ripping you off. CrapBay.

Will only really list anything now I know will sell. Maybe seek buyers here and there, and use CrapBay/PayPal to close the deal.
