***Finally**** I got a perfect photo of my 1913 MPL

This was a matter of finally getting the angle and the light source right. This coin is a PR65RB and I have been overawed by the colors on this, witha loupe and catching the reflections and color ^^just right^^

Finally I got this on the film (film?}

The obverse is just like a deep red sun, on a hot summer day

the reverse is turquoise, with crimson and pink highlights, almost a neon

    yes its very easy to fawn over 68RD but with these coins...sometimes grade and color designation take back seat to the best flash of color in the eye, and for lack of a better term, personality. Tomorrow Ill work on the 12.....

    Ill bet that obverse photo would make an incredible 30X30 mural size print!

    Ambro,

    You said,

    The obverse is like a "deep red sun on a summer's day". Another coin I used to own came to mind when I saw your 1913 and would like to share its red sun obverse with you MPL and Roosie people.image Duane! I want it back!! image

    Took these of the 1912

    That coin must have spent *decades* wrapped in that wonderful tarnishproof tissue!

    This picture turned out to be a tradeoff, the angle for the best colors was not the best angle to show the woodgrain on this coin. Hmmmm

  • Amen, Brother. Maybe I can just post it on the board like it was still mine?? I've only owned it twice. Three times is a charm, I've been told.

    Willing to buy, trade or sneak in the dead of night if I can get the combination to the safe ..... : )

    The 1909 avatar and that 1910 look like twins.......

    alrighty...one last try here...slam this one...it's not mine...pcgs did give it pr62 or 63 brn...imaging can hide what matty's can be in hand
    "let's hear them...fugly...that had to be graded on a hungover monday morning...got crayon...i'd crack that and spend it"
