Topps reprint or archives baseball card sets for 1955 and 1956

Hi Guys, Is anyone familier with the 2001 Topps Archives 1956 baseball cards? Did Topps release a full set of these cards or just a select number of players. I am trying to find a Topps reprint type set for the 1955 and 1956 Topps cards like the ones printed for 1952, 1953 and 1954 sets. I'm not sure if any complete sets for these years exists. Any info would be great. Neil

    I believe that there were random cards within the 2001 Topps Archives set in the 1955 and 1956 format, not the entire set.

    I thought they just printed the brooklyn dodgers

    Don't know if this helps but didn't Topps produce some of these cards for Nationals? seem to recall they did some sort of special cards that were only available at the Nationals.

    The 2008 SCD Catalog indicates the 2001 Topps Archives set was released in two series of 225 cards each. It pictures Maris in the 1958 format.
    There is a set listed in one of the ebay stores, "Topps 2001 Archives complete set" ..it lists 450, but the card format seems to contain multiple years ..asking price is $ 139
    Topps Baseball-1948, 1951 to 2017
    Bowman Baseball -1948-1955
    Fleer Baseball-1923, 1959-2007
