Big Blue Nation mourns the passing of Bill "Mr. Wildcat" Keightley (1926-2008)

A very blue day for Wildcat fans. image

For those that don't know, he's been our equipment manager for the Kentucky Wildcats since 1962 (yes, you heard right, he was there even when Rupp was coach) and just finished his 48th year on the job. He was on our 1978, 1996, and 1998 championship teams as well. In 1997 he even had a "jersey" retired in his honor. He will be missed greatly. image

I was shocked to see this on the news last night. I thought he would be the equipment manager forever. He will be missed on the bench.
