I would like your thoughts.

I like most folks have US Mint Silver proof sets from 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001. Should I get my 16 power loop out, get the nicest coins and send them to PCGS for Grading for the sole purpose of selling them to make a profit and buy coins for my collection?? Whew! I had to take a breath.

If you enjoy the former, go for it. If not, the latter.

Except for some of the 98s, the silver proofs really aren't that pricey. Also, you might not get all 69DCAMs. If you want certified pieces for your own collection, then go ahead and try it, why not. But, I don't think there is much profit potential unless you have alot of sets, and a good customer base. By the time you pay for the set ($35), ten grading fees ($100), and shipping (say $20), you have at least $150 into it. The coins from say 2001 would sell for about $200, maybe, in 69DCAM. Then if some are graded lower, the margin is even worse.

Unless you had some really exceptional ones I'd say leave them as is.
