Well, folks, I got another $800 for cards coming; read to see what I got

As you guys know, I already got a cool $600 for cards for my b-day a couple weeks back and now later this week I'll be getting another $800 to spend (plus another $100 for a case of pages). So you guys want to know how I want to spend it? Well:

1. Finish up getting the PSA 7 key cards for my 1975-79 sets (I have 1975-76 listed below; I need all key cards for 1977-79) and hopefully get a headstart on the 1974.
2. Get a 2007 Topps Red Sox factory set to get it current (at least it will be for a few months)
3. I want to first get the 1980-82 Topps football sets (w/o the Montana RC for now) as well as the 1992 set with Traded (to make an even eight binders for a 1980-92 Topps FB set run). I might possibly also go for trying to extend that run up to 2000.
4. I also need to get 1997-98 Donruss and Score sets to finish those runs as well, plus 1994 and 1995 Flair sets.

I most likely won't be able to do everything but hopefully I'll be able to finish the stuff on top of this list. And I'll also be getting more Kentucky Fried Chicken too! Isn't my wife just the sweetest? image

UPDATE: FOX NEWS ALERT:
Well, here's what made the final cut (I put it up here on the top message for convience)

1. 1974 Topps near set w/ Traded set (15 cards short); includes Johnny Bench, Tom Seaver, Nolan Ryan LDR, Dave Winfield RC, Ken Griffey Sr. RC all in PSA 7
2. 1976 Topps George Brett, Dennis Eckersley RC, Robin Yount, Nolan Ryan all in PSA 7
3. 1980 & 1982 Topps football sets from BBCE
4. 1992-96 Topps football sets from SMCCI
5. 2007 Topps Red Sox factory set from SMCCI
6. A case of 1000 BCW pages and a case of 12 BCW binders

Think I spent that money wisely? image

I guess the 1997-98 Donruss/Score sets, 1994-95 Flair sets, 1981 Topps football set w/o Montana RC and the remaining 1970s graded cards I need will be for next time.

And good luck to you and my wife on defending that World Series championship! You know, my high school baseball team just started its season (I was student manager for them in 1998 and 1999; in 1998 we came just three outs short of Sectional ("Final Four" in state) Championship), so I have a team to root for too! image

True, but I'm a SET collector; I could never spend $900 on just one card. But like you said, whatever floats our boats, right?

However, I told my wife once I get all these little things done and completed, I want us to maybe start up a really nice 1971 Topps baseball set loaded with either PSA 6 or PSA 7 key cards. I mean, the 1975 set will always be my favorite 1970s set but now that I got it almost all wrapped up, it'll soon be time (maybe this coming Christmas) to work on my second favorite 1970s set which will be a challenging set (at least in terms of making a nice one that at the same time won't break the bank) to work on.
